Kenworth T480 Rear-Load Refuse Truck with Crane for Haulrite Environmental

Durabac completed a versatile refuse truck for Haulrite Environmental, combining a Kenworth T480, a 25-cubic-yard Chagnon Sprinter rear-load refuse body SPR-25-G, and a HIAB X-102 B-3 CLX crane.

The Sprinter is equipped with a hydraulic hopper reinforced with 1/8-in Hardox, designed to receive material from semi-buried containers as well as C&D Bagster-type bags.

Integrated HIAB Crane

The HIAB X-102 B-3 CLX features three hydraulic extensions and provides a maximum reach of 32 ft 2 in, allowing containers to be handled at a distance from the truck.

The crane is installed with its subframe, pump, and power take-off (PTO), along with fully hydraulic outriggers to support lifting operations.

A Configuration Designed for Different Collection Operations

The Kenworth T480 is also equipped with a DURALIFT cart tipper featuring a European-style attachment, a bidirectional rotator, and an American-style attachment. This combination allows the truck to handle different cart configurations depending on operational requirements.

Other installed equipment includes:

• backup camera with 7-in color display;

• centralized lubrication system;

• LED work lights;

• strobe lights;

• crane operation safety system;

• aluminum toolbox;

• 3-cubic-yard rear hopper.

The body was painted Teal Blue, code SNX2360, to match the Kenworth cab and provide a consistent finish across the entire vehicle.
